#Community S04E07 – “Economics of Marine Biology”
In the hopes of recruiting a particularly wealthy student, Dean Pelton recruits Jeff, Britta, and Annie to help Greendale's recruiting efforts. Meanwhile, Troy and Shirley start a new ‘Physical Education Education’ class, with unexpected results. Abed opens a new fraternity at Greendale.
The episode has the gang split up and have numerous different storylines. Some of the gang try and catch a whale, whilst Jeff tries to placate the ego of the former whale caught, Troy and Shirley have a PEE class and Abed creates a fraternity.
Troy has always been a jock, sure his geekiness has come out since coming to Greendale but he has always been a jock, so taking a PE class should be easiest for him, but when it turns out to be a PE Education class it turns out that he is the worst at it, and Shirley is better. It gives them a chance to have their roles reversed with Troy finally being the last to be picked in class, and Shirley being the pickee.
Jeff and Pierce have a day bonding, and Jeff actually realises that he likes Pierce, some of the time. Pierce has always wanted Jeffs approval, and this episode he finally gets it, with Jeff even standing up for Pierce against the rest.
The Dean realises that he is trying to change the school in order to gain the whale, but realises that it comes at the cost of his students, and even with the change of heart he still manages to land the whale.
